Telehandler Hire – Rotating, Fixed-Boom & Heavy-Duty at Luibl Rental
Luibl Rental offers one of Europe's most powerful telehandler fleets for hire – with models from leading manufacturers Manitou, Merlo, Magni, and Genie. Whether you need a compact fixed-boom telehandler for a construction site, a high-performance rotating telehandler for demanding assembly projects, or a heavy-duty telehandler for large-scale industrial applications: Luibl Rental has the right machine for you – DGUV-inspected and ready for immediate deployment. All machines are available for hire across Europe; transport is handled exclusively by Luibl Rental's own low-loader fleet, reliably and on schedule.
Strategic Selection: Fixed-Boom or Rotating Telehandler?
Luibl Rental divides its portfolio into technologically specialised categories to meet the individual requirements of every job site. Choosing the right model is critical for operational safety, productivity, and the overall cost-efficiency of your project. Get in touch – our team will advise you on the optimal machine category for your specific application.
Roto telescopic handler
Rotating telehandlers feature a 360-degree rotating upper carriage, making them the most versatile category in the Luibl Rental fleet. This allows precise work in the tightest spaces without repositioning the machine. They are clearly superior to fixed-boom models – particularly for industrial hall construction, steel structure assembly, or confined inner-city job sites. Typical models: Magni RTH 5.21, Magni RTH 6.25SH, Magni RTH 6.30SH, Magni RTH 7.26SH, Merlo Roto 40.16, Merlo Roto 50.26S, Merlo Roto 70.28S, Manitou MRT 1845, Manitou MRT 2550 Privilege, Manitou MRT 3060.
Lift capacities from 4.0 t to 8.0 t, lift heights up to 39 m, lateral reach up to 27 m. On an industrial hall construction project in southern Germany, Luibl Rental delivered a Magni RTH 6.30 with hydraulic winch directly to the site via its own low-loader: thanks to 360-degree rotation, the machine remained centrally positioned and reached all assembly positions without repositioning – a significant saving in time and cost compared to a conventional mobile crane.
Fixed-Boom Telehandler
Fixed-boom telehandlers are the classic all-rounders for construction, logistics, and agriculture. The boom moves along the machine's longitudinal axis. Compact dimensions, high stability, and a broad range of applications make them the most frequently hired category in our fleet. Typical models from the Luibl Rental fleet: Merlo P. 27.6, Merlo P. 38.13, Manitou MT 930 H, Manitou MT 1440, Merlo P50.18 Plus, Manitou ULM 412, Manitou ULM 415.
Lift capacities from 2.0 t to 5.5 t, lift heights from 4 m to 19 m – the first choice for most construction and logistics projects. The fixed-boom design wins through ease of operation, minimal space requirements during transport, and an attractive price-to-performance ratio for hire.
Heavy-Duty Telehandler
For large-scale industrial projects with exceptional load requirements, Luibl Rental offers heavy-lift telehandlers with capacities well in excess of 10,000 kg. These machines take on tasks that would otherwise require a mobile crane – with considerably less space, faster deployment, and lower hire costs. Typical models: Merlo P. 120.10 HM (12,000 kg / 9.80 m lift height), Manitou MHT 10120, [Manitou MHT 10160](Manitou MHT 10160), Manitou MHT 10200 ST5, Manitou MHT 11250 ST5, Manitou MHT 12330.
The 3-in-1 Principle: Versatility Through Attachments
- Pallet forks: Standard attachment for classic goods handling, pallet transfer, and stacking operations on construction sites and in logistics
- Buckets and scoops: For bulk material handling – gravel, sand, wood chips, silage – on construction sites and in agriculture
- Jib booms and crane hooks: Transform the telehandler into a flexible crane for steel components, concrete elements, or heavy machinery
- Hydraulic winches: For controlled lifting and precise positioning of heavy loads, especially during assembly work at height
- Personnel work platforms (man baskets): With widths exceeding 4 metres for up to three persons – for work at height, e.g. façade installation, roof sealing, or maintenance on hard-to-reach areas
Particularly in assembly work – for example when installing roof trusses or fitting building services equipment at height – the combination of telehandler and winch enables direct lifting to the installation position, without a separate crane and without elaborate scaffolding.
Transport & Delivery: Pan-European Service with Own Low-Loader Fleet
A key advantage of Luibl Rental: all machines are available for hire across Europe – and transport is handled exclusively by our own low-loader fleet. This means for you as the hirer: no dependency on external hauliers, on-time delivery directly to your job site, and consistent single-source responsibility. Whether it's a construction site in Bavaria, a production facility in the Netherlands, or an assembly project in Austria – Luibl Rental coordinates delivery and collection reliably, with clear agreements.
With over 200 network locations, short transport routes and fast response times are guaranteed across large parts of Europe. In many regions, next-working-day availability is possible.
Hire Rates and Terms at Luibl Rental
Luibl Rental operates a policy of full cost transparency – no hidden charges, no billing surprises. Hire rates are based on the chosen performance class and hire duration:
- Compact 6-metre models: from approx. €180 per day
- Versatile 18-metre construction machines: from approx. €265 per day
- High-performance rotating telehandlers, 26-metre class: from approx. €495 per day
For long-term hire, Luibl Rental offers attractive discounts that significantly reduce the daily rate. From a hire period of 4 weeks, we recommend a monthly rate; for durations of 3 months or more, individual terms apply. Our all-inclusive service includes a 24-hour emergency service and regular on-site maintenance to minimise downtime.
Safety and Qualification: DGUV 308-009 as Standard
Operating telehandlers requires a high degree of technical expertise due to the variable reach and the dynamic shift in the centre of gravity when extending the boom. At Luibl Rental, safety comes first: every hire machine is subject to strict maintenance cycles and regular inspections in accordance with accident prevention regulations (UVV). All inspection records are available in full at the point of machine handover.
In Germany, a proof of competence in accordance with DGUV Principle 308-009 is mandatory for operating these machines. Qualification is structured in three levels:
- Level 1: Basic training for fixed-boom telehandlers in fork and bucket operation
- Level 2a: Additional qualification for machines with rotating upper carriage and crane operation (with winch)
- Level 2b: Qualification for use as an elevated work platform with personnel work platform (man basket)
Operators are legally required to deploy only personnel holding this qualification, who must also receive annual instruction. Luibl Rental supports the qualification of operating personnel through certified training partners.
Safety Measures During Operation
Before every lifting operation, ground bearing capacity and machine stability must be verified. When using a personnel work platform, a separate operating procedure in accordance with DGUV 308-009 Level 2b is required. On public roads: Category B driving licence (up to 3.5 t GVW) or Category CE for larger units. Luibl Rental provides support on request for drafting project-specific operating procedures.
Typical Applications for Hired Telehandlers
Telehandlers are true multi-purpose machines. In hire operations, they are most frequently used in the following sectors:
- Commercial construction & industrial hall building: Supplying trades at height, installing roof trusses and steel structures – even on confined sites thanks to rotating telehandler technology
- Civil engineering & infrastructure: Material handling, pipeline construction, drainage works, supplying below-grade sites
- Logistics & industry: Outdoor warehouse operations, container loading, loading of trucks and semi-trailers
- Agriculture: Feed handling, silage management, seasonal harvesting operations, manure removal on farmyards
- Event technology: Assembly of grandstands, stages, trusses, and temporary roof structures
- Building services & MEP: Lifting ventilation units, chillers, transformers, or other heavy plant into buildings
- Demolition & dismantling: Material handling, sorting operations, and loading on confined sites
