Fixed telehandlers from Manitou and Merlo offer lifting heights typically from 6 m to 18 m and load capacities from 2.5 t to 4.5 t. With all-wheel drive (4×4), all-wheel steering and an oscillating axle, they also cope with soft ground and narrow access roads, as frequently found on construction sites in the foothills of the forest.

Rotating telehandlers (roto machines) from Magni go considerably further: they rotate the boom through 360° and reach lifting heights of up to 39 m. On many construction sites, this makes a separate crane unnecessary. With the right attachment – work basket, cable winch, pallet fork or grab – a roto telehandler turns into a flexible multi-purpose machine. This is particularly economical for timber-construction projects in the district: a single machine erects the roof truss, supplies the roofers with material and positions fitters in the work basket.

The Manitou MHT 10200 from the heavy-duty segment carries up to 20,000 kg and reaches lifting heights of over 10 m. The operational safety of this equipment is ensured by documented inspection in accordance with DGUV Regulation 68 (industrial trucks); the current inspection reports are handed over with the machine.

The handover of a rental machine marks the beginning of the hirer's operator obligations. These arise from the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety (BetrSichV) and the technical rules that give it concrete form.

Under DGUV Regulation 1 (principles of prevention), the hirer as operator is obliged to carry out a visual and functional inspection of the equipment before each shift. Any defects identified must be reported to the rental company immediately and the equipment taken out of service until the defect is rectified. TRBS 2111 (Technical Rules for Operational Safety – Mechanical Hazards) stipulates that work equipment may only be provided in a technically flawless condition. Luibl supplies exclusively machines with a valid UVV inspection sticker and a current inspection certificate.

For mobile elevating work platforms, DGUV Regulation 68 requires regular inspection by a competent person. DGUV Regulation 68 also applies to industrial trucks; for forklift drivers, the IPAF PAL card (for mobile elevating work platforms) or the DGUV Principle certificate for industrial trucks is the recognised proof of qualification.

Anyone who takes over equipment without assured operator knowledge is personally liable in the event of accidents.
