Untergriesbach is less than 30 kilometres from Passau – and Luibl Rental & Sales is located right in Passau. This creates a condition that is decisive when it comes to machine hire: short distances, plannable delivery times and a contact who knows the region. Whether façade work on a hillside plot in Gottsdorf, a hall assembly in one of the commercial estates along the B388 or an infrastructure project in one of the market town's 106 districts – with the right machine and reliable logistics, you no longer leave any gaps in the construction schedule.

The rental fleet comprises aerial work platforms of all designs, telehandlers, Roto telehandlers, forklifts and rough-terrain forklifts as well as construction machinery for earthworks. All equipment is inspected and handed over in accordance with the applicable DGUV Rule 100-500 (formerly BGR 500) and the respective manufacturer's specifications.

Telehandlers, forklifts and lifting platforms for your project in the Passau district

Anyone who hires machines usually does not do so for a single equipment category. Site logistics often means: lifting, transporting and reaching heights at the same time. Luibl supplies all three equipment classes from a single source – with a single point of contact, one delivery by low-loader and one handover record.

The following machine categories are available for Untergriesbach and the entire Passau district:

  • Aerial work platforms – scissor, articulated and telescopic boom lifts as well as mast lifts

  • Telehandlers – fixed and rotating, electric and diesel

  • Forklifts – front forklifts, rough-terrain forklifts, heavy-duty forklifts

  • Construction machinery – crawler excavators, wheel loaders and other earthmoving equipment

Fixed and Roto telehandlers: maximum load capacity for the construction industry

Fixed telehandlers are the workhorse of construction logistics. They transport pallets, rubble skips and building-material packages over site areas that a front forklift cannot drive on. For Untergriesbach and the surrounding villages with their partly unpaved access roads, all-wheel drive is not an option but a standard.

An important selection criterion is the combination of lifting height and load capacity. The figure in the data sheet always refers to the maximum load capacity at the smallest outreach angle. The load chart of the respective model shows which load can still be safely lifted at which reach. Luibl provides the manufacturer's load charts for all machines so that you can calculate the rental period and operating conditions in concrete terms before enquiring.

Roto telehandlers (rotating telehandlers) are the more flexible solution when the site does not allow ideal machine positioning. With a 360°-rotating superstructure, they deliver loads over obstacles without repositioning the machine. Lifting heights of up to 39 m and a load capacity extending into the heavy-load range (Manitou MHT 10200: 20,000 kg) make Roto telehandlers the first choice for steel construction, civil engineering and large-scale assembly.

Available brands from the Luibl rental fleet (selection):

  • Manitou MT series (fixed) and MRT series (Roto)

  • Magni TH and RTH series

  • Merlo P series

Scissor lifts & articulated boom lifts for industry and assembly

For work at heights ranging from 6 m to 57 m, Luibl offers two fundamentally different platform types.

Diesel scissor lifts with an oscillating axle are the preferred solution for outdoor use on uneven surfaces. The oscillating axle enables safe travel across cross-slopes and ensures that the platform remains stable even on hillside plots in Untergriesbach and the surrounding locations. Typical fields of use: façade work, roof-edge assembly, lighting work on operating buildings.

Electric articulated boom lifts with non-marking tyres are designed for indoor use. Emission-free, low-noise, without floor damage – these machines move through production halls, warehouses or commercial yards without leaving marks on the floor. For assembly work on sprinkler systems, hall lighting, ventilation ducts or trapezoidal-sheet roofs, articulated boom lifts are the right choice because of their pass-through height and compact transport dimensions. The pass-through height in the lowered state depends on the model and must be checked against the clear hall height before ordering – ask us about this directly when enquiring.

Technical key data of the work-platform categories (as examples):

Electric scissor lifts (indoor)

  • Working height: 6 m to 16 m

  • Platform load: up to 450 kg

  • Drive: battery (no exhaust, no noise)

  • Tyres: non-marking (floor-friendly rubber)

Diesel scissor lifts (outdoor)

  • Working height: 10 m to 34 m

  • Platform load: up to 1,000 kg

  • Drive: diesel with all-wheel drive

  • Special feature: oscillating pendulum axle for hillside locations

Electric articulated boom lifts (indoor/hybrid)

  • Working height: 11 m to 28 m

  • Lateral reach: up to approx. 16 m

  • Drive: electric or bi-energy

  • Tyres: non-marking

Diesel articulated boom lifts (outdoor)

  • Working height: 16 m to 43 m

  • Lateral reach: up to approx. 24 m

  • Drive: diesel 4x4

  • Gradeability: up to 45 %

Front forklifts and rough-terrain forklifts for logistics in Untergriesbach

Front forklifts in the electric, gas and diesel drive variants cover classic warehouse operation and unloading logistics. For outdoor use on unpaved ground – as often occurs in the rural districts of the market town of Untergriesbach – rough-terrain forklifts with all-wheel drive are the far more suitable choice. These machines handle gravel, wet clay and slight inclines without traction problems.

Heavy-duty forklifts with load capacities of up to 16 tonnes are available for applications where standard forklifts reach their limits – for example when transporting precast elements, steel girders or machine components on commercial construction sites.

Logistics & delivery radius: pinpoint provision in all 106 districts

Untergriesbach comprises 106 districts – from Berghof via Gottsdorf and Riedl to Willersdorf and Ziering. Not all of them are reachable by low-loader on a direct route. Narrow local roads, bridge load limits and agriculturally shaped access routes require route planning that goes beyond a simple delivery address.

Luibl operates its own low-loader fleet and is therefore independent of external hauliers. This has a concrete advantage: appointments can be coordinated directly, without involving a third-party service provider. If the start of construction is postponed or a machine is to be returned earlier, this is handled internally – without cancellation fees from external drivers.

For your planning, we recommend specifying the following points when enquiring:

  • Access route and road class (main road, municipal road, farm track)

  • Available standing area for the low-loader during loading and unloading

  • Any bridge passages or bottlenecks on the last mile

  • Desired rental period (daily rate or long-term hire from one week)

When calculating transport costs, the following applies: the distance from Passau to Untergriesbach is short. Nevertheless, transport costs depend on equipment size, weight and delivery distance and are shown separately in the quotation. There are no hidden flat rates – what is stated in the quotation is what is charged.

For projects with several machines or a rental period of several weeks, long-term conditions apply, which are considerably cheaper compared to daily rates. On request, long-term hire includes the accident-prevention (UVV) inspection and annual servicing of the equipment during the deployment period.

Safety & legal matters: UVV-inspected rental equipment delivered directly to the site

What the inspection obligation means

Every Luibl rental machine undergoes a functional inspection after each use. The legally prescribed annual accident-prevention (UVV) inspection in accordance with the BetrSichV (Industrial Safety Regulation) and the DGUV rules is carried out by independent experts. The inspection certificate is available at handover.

For forklifts, DGUV Regulation 68 (industrial trucks) additionally applies. Among other things, the regulation governs the requirements for driving permits for industrial trucks as well as the inspection intervals.

For aerial work platforms of all kinds, DGUV Rule 100-500 applies in conjunction with DGUV Principle 308-008 (training and assignment of operators of aerial work platforms). The so-called operator's licence – often referred to in practice as an aerial-work-platform certificate – is not a driving licence in the legal sense, but the demonstrable instruction of the operator by the employer is mandatory. On request, Luibl establishes contact with certified training providers who offer IPAF PAL Card training for all relevant equipment types.

Machinery breakdown insurance

The question of liability in the event of damage is one of the most common uncertainties in machine hire. In principle, the following applies: with the machine, the hirer assumes the duty of care for the rental period. In the event of damage not attributable to wear and tear, it is advisable to take out machinery breakdown insurance. Before the contract is concluded, Luibl informs you about the applicable liability provisions in the terms and conditions and answers questions about cover transparently – no small print that only becomes relevant after handover.

Rental checklist for projects in Untergriesbach

Before using a hired machine, we recommend the following steps:

  • Fill in the handover record together with the Luibl driver and document any existing pre-damage

  • Check the access routes for the low-loader in advance (bridge load, pass-through width, clear height at gate or underpass passages)

  • Check the ground load capacity at the set-up location – plan for support mats on soft ground

  • Have the operator's licence / proof of instruction ready for all machine operators

  • Request technical data sheets and load charts from the provider before the machine is ordered
